About Teesside Flooring
Teesside homeowners, landlords and businesses get competitive, written quotes for flooring here, free and in writing. Every quote is held to the same standard: measured square metres, the product specification stated in numbers, and subfloor preparation priced as its own line instead of appearing as an extra once the carpet is up.
Flooring is the trade where two quotes for the same room can differ by half and both look reasonable. One assumes the floor underneath is flat, dry and sound. The other has checked. One says "LVT", the other says "0.55mm wear layer, glue-down, over latex screed". This site exists to push every quote towards the second format, so you can compare specification against specification rather than guessing which price is missing something.
How it works
Tell us about the rooms: roughly how many square metres, the floor you have in mind, and your postcode. The enquiry goes to one independent local flooring fitter covering your area, who measures properly, checks what is under the existing covering, and puts a written price together. Engineered wood, LVT, laminate, sanding and restoration, vinyl and safety flooring and commercial work all follow the same standard.
The standards we hold quotes to
- Measured square metres: room by room, with the wastage percentage stated rather than hidden in the rate.
- Subfloor preparation itemised: levelling, plywood overlay, board fixing or moisture testing shown as separate lines, so nothing appears mid-job.
- A product specification in numbers: wear layer thickness on LVT, top layer thickness on engineered wood, AC rating on laminate, slip rating on safety flooring.
- Uplift and disposal included: old carpet, grippers, staples, tile or vinyl removed and taken away, with tip charges in the price.
- Trims and finishing covered: beading or scotia, thresholds, door trimming and skirting reinstated where the job requires it.
- Acclimatisation respected: boards left in the room before fitting, because the alternative shows up as gaps in the first cold month.
Who runs it
The site is run by 360 Media Works Ltd, a Teesside company based at Varsity House on the Preston Farm estate in Stockton-on-Tees. The guides here are written to be useful whether or not you ever request a quote, which is why they include real 2026 figures and the questions a showroom would rather you did not ask.
